Adsorpative features of polyacrylamide- bentonite and zeolite composites for Cs+ and Co2+

Abstract: Polyacrlamide- Bentonite and polyacrylamide- Zeolite composites were synthesized and evaluated, as ion exchangers, for the removal of cesium and cobalt ions from aqueous solutions in batch operations. Batch experiments were carried out as a function of pH, initial ion concentration and temperature. Simple kinetic and thermodynamic models have been applied to the rate and isotherm sorption data and the relevant kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were determined from the graphical presentation of these models.
