Sunil Kumar Sharma was awarded the degree of M.Sc. in Mathematics from CSJM University, Kanpur in the year 2001. He had joined the Department of Mathematics, Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI) as a Research Assistant in the project “Some Problems of Heat and Mass Transfer in Biosystem” in the year 2002 in the kind supervision of Dr. Rekha Bali.
In June 2004, he had qualified NET-JRF examination conducted by UGC - CSIR and was awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the CSIR. He was also in top 20% CSIR-fellow in June 2004. He had also qualified the Uttar Pradesh State Level Eligibility Test (UPSLET) in 2004. In June 2005 he attended a course on Mathematical Modelling and Simulation organised by CSIR Centre for mathematical modelling and Computer Simulation (C-MMACS).
He has published eight research papers in national and internationally reputed journals. He has attended and presented papers in several National / International conferences. In June 2005, his paper was accepted for presentation in World Tribology Congress, at Washington DC, USA.
In august 2006, he had joined the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Kanpur Institute of technology, Kanpur, as a Lecturer (Mathematics). He has been awarded “Excellent Faculty” in the session 2007-08 and 2008-09. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Kanpur Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
