Course Outline:
The aim of this course is to identify light microscopic structure of various normal human body organs and tissues in addition to the study of cell structure, and cell division.
By the end of this course, student should be able to know:
- Cell structure and division, chromosomes and genes.
- Epithelial tissue.
- Connective tissue, blood and lymphoid tissue.
- Muscular tissue
- Nervous tissue.
- Histology of digestive system.
- Histology of urinary and genital system.
- Histology of respiratory system.
- Histology of cardiovascular system.
- Histology of endocrine glands
Teaching methods:
- Lectures.
- Practical sessions.
Means of evaluation:
- Semester Examination: Written and Practical 50%
- Final Examination: 50%
