Improper drainage
- Improper drainage
This is the most important cause of regression. Inadequate drainage causes excess pressure , the soil faces the danger of instability and consolidation problem. Moreover , improper drainage causes an increase of soil water content and thereby a decrease of soil strength results.
I.2.3 Need for soil stabilization
To prevent or correct off- time failure of road structures, it is necessary to improve the structural stability of soil. Because, varying vertical forces over a soil of varying resistance make differential vertical movements of soil, and thus, without stabilization, these can change deleterious soil movements with substantial constructional problem ensuring. (22) Another important aspect of increasing the bearing capacity of soil is to reduce the total road thickness so that the higher price of aggregate material and their hauling cost can also be reduced.
