Air pressure
Air pressure
For rock drills, the air pressure ranges from 70 to 90 psi (480 to 620 kPa), the most economical pressure for such machines being from 90 to 95 psi (620 to 655 kPa), when high drilling speed is attained.
To operate the percussive tool and to flush the hole of cuttings, surface mounted drills use 690 to 1,725 kPa air
pressure.
